A retardant drop from a C-130 as seen from the drop zone. __ Ever see an orange firefighter? If so, this is why.

What a spectacular sequence! Warren was on the ball when this drop happened. This is a view that few who haven't been firefighters get to see. This looks like a perfect salvo because the retardant is just finishing breaking up as it nears the ground. A drop can blow over trees and injure or kill firefighters if let loose a little too low. I think that's a drip torch the firefighter is carrying. If so, it was most likely used it to set the backfire on the next page. The under-wing turboprops have me believe that this is a C-130 Hercules.
